Rose Tree Fire Company wants to help spread a little cheer during the pandemic. We know that social distancing has made it harder to celebrate special events like anniversaries and birthdays. To help you make sure your special someone gets the recognition they deserve, we’re taking requests from our neighbors for mini drive-by parades.
Follow the instructions below to request that one of our fire trucks drive by your house to help you and your family celebrate. We’ll field all requests, but given our continued commitment to provide fire protection to the community, we ask that you limit requests to celebrations for children, milestone occasions (like anniversaries or birthdays) for people of all ages, or other special events that require a little extra fanfare.
To make a request, message us on Facebook or email us at [email protected] as far in advance as possible. Be sure to include:
- Your name;
- Your contact information;
- The event location, date, and time; and
- If you’d like us to participate silently, or if we should use our lights and sirens.
We will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible, but please understand that we may not be able to accept all requests, as we are an all-volunteer organization that needs time to schedule a crew and keep our equipment service-ready. Please also understand that we also must place priority on emergency dispatches that may occur around the time of your event, which may prevent us from attending, so we ask your understanding in advance.
One last thing: when we’re not responding to an emergency, we’re as excited to see you as you are to see us. If you see us helping celebrate someone’s special day in your part of town, give us a quick wave or snap a picture and post it online with the #RTFCParade. And above all else, keep your families safe and healthy!
