Rose Tree Fire Company would like to congratulate and extend its heartfelt appreciation to Andrew Kirk and Morris (Bud) Marshall who were recently celebrated as Life Members of the company. Life Member status is reserved for those who have volunteered their time with RTFC for 20 years or more.
Andrew Kirk joined RTFC in 2000 and is currently serving his fourth year as Treasurer and his sixteenth year as an apparatus Engineer. Over his tenure, Andy has provided extensive support in the maintenance of the vehicles, financial duties, tax reporting, fund drive fiscal assistance and advice, special financial project guidance, service on the Executive Committee, and many other activities of the company. Andy also serves as a photographer of the Company, and he has filled in as Acting Recording Secretary when called upon over the years.
Bud Marshall joined the RTFC crew in 2000 and has provided extensive support for apparatus maintenance, building maintenance, active Trustee, and service on the Executive Committee. Bud spends many hours helping behind the scenes to ensure things run smoothly and the building is kept clean and well organized. Bud also serves as a member of the Upper Providence Township Firefighters Relief Association Board, a position he had held since December 2005.
This note of thanks only scratches the surface of the contributions these members have made to RTFC. Each has given of their time with no expectation of recognition, and has made sacrifices in their own lives for the good of the Company and our community. We thank them for both their years of service and their continued commitment.
