The State Fire Commissioner has recognized Rose Tree Fire Company No. 1 as a Participating Fire Department of the Pennsylvania Fire Service Certification Program. This program was established in 1983 when a committee known as the Fire Service Certification Advisory Committee (FSCAC) was formed to explore the implementation of a voluntary certification program for firefighters. The purpose of this program is to identify and recognize emergency service personnel whose accomplishments in training and education meets or exceeds nationally recognized standards. The NFPA standards for Fire Service Professional Qualifications identify the minimum requirements for a person at a particular level of progression. A person certified to one of the Fire Service Professional levels will have demonstrated competency in the knowledge and skills required to perform at a particular level. The safety and service to the citizens and visitors of Upper Providence Township, surrounding communities and the entire Commonwealth will be enhanced by the professional competency attained through this certification process.

Decals are proudly displayed on the apparatus signifying this accomplishment.

ANNUAL FUND DRIVE MAILING

Saturday, March 6, 2010
-
Dear Residents, Neighbors & Business Owners,

We have recently mailed out a letter to your home or place of business, requesting your support.

Rose Tree Fire Company proudly serves the 10,509 residents and 215 businesses of Upper Providence Township and assists surrounding townships and boroughs when needed.

We depend upon your generous donations to help defray the costs of essential life-saving equipment and tools, building expenses and vehicle maintenance.

We realize the current state of the economy may make it hard for some of you to donate. We are falling victim to the economy too. And since we don’t send out bills for our services, we can’t raise our prices to cover costs as other businesses do.

Please remember that we are 100% volunteer, on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and our organization depends upon the donations you provide to keep us going.

If you prefer to drop off a donation in person, feel free to stop by the station. You can place it in the mail slot in the front door. Also our weekly training night is Tuesday from 7-9pm and our monthly business meeting is the second Thursday at 7:30pm.

Donations can be made out to:

Rose Tree Fire Company No.1
1275 North Providence Road
Media, PA19063

All donations are tax deductible.

If you recently moved into the Township and received a fund drive request with the previous residents name, you can still send it in.  Just correct the name and write your name in.

With much appreciation, we thank you!!
The officers and members of Rose Tree Fire Company No.1
